According to Roberta, a focus on quality is always worth the first step toward process improvement and the second is the result of a desire for quality which depends on you!

English translation topic points:

What is the importance of quality in day to day?

Quality characteristic is broad and difficult for explanation with a basic description. Quality has always been linked directly to the product or service? Yet, we in business know that the process to ensure quality begins long before that. Quality must be present in our daily actions - in everything that we do there must be "quality". When we perform any service, we must perform with "quality."  This approach to quality requires a shift in behavior on a daily basis.  Quality requires the need to impose a culture shift to ensure that actions trigger a process of improvement.  Therefore a focus on quality requires a focus on quality day-to-day, so that we’re always seeking the best in all that we do in every situation.

Who should participate in this process of implementing excellence in business?

For business, although initiation usually begins with key leadership, everyone in the company must be involved somehow. As leaders take the posture of "stakeholders" in excellence, others in the work force will adopt the vision and develop the need of excellence in all projects.

How do entrepreneurs begin this journey?

The beginning is established in the willingness to be excellent. If it exists, your ticket to developing excellence is purchased. After which simply choose the tools and practices that will serve your company, then start the professional and serious work to focus on quality. Utilizing course instruction, books regarding improvement strategies, benchmarking tools, quality consultative sessions and other exchanges of information will assist in knowledge and the process of improvement.

What is the focus on excellence in management?

Ø       The focus of excellence in management is in outcome, or efforts that lead to results sought by the company including financial, market penetration, operational processes or workforce contributions.

Ø       Improved customer satisfaction through internal integration programs between the team -a commercial entity

Examples of management outcome focus:

Ø       Waste reduction through standardization of processes - Casting
quality of life through improvements in the workplace - Newspapers
Groups of internal improvement - Hospital

Roberta concludes her discussion with examples of the impact of quality improvement processes on business results.

Ask Lita Internet Radio Guest Erik Deckers discusses how blogging can lead to websites going viral.

Erik shared that viral marketing relies on word of mouth. Unlike traditional or gorilla marketing, which often rely on getting attention from a large audience in a specific span of time. Erik explained that the key to website traffic or getting a website to go viral is in linking people to a website through items of interest and by using relationship focused engagement strategies. Erik contends that a blog combine with social media networks is the most effective catalyst for establishing relations to drive website traffic. According to Erik Deckers, social media and blogging is simple enough to engage that anyone can do it and everyone with a business should not hesitate with getting started.

Marshall Hatfield on marketing strategy and lead generation.

Marshall Hatfield CEO & Founder of Moonlit Ventures, offering marketing and advertising services with a unique approach. Along with marketing strategy consulting and on –demand lead generation, Marshall guarantees his “done for you” profit marketing campaigns. According to Marshall, the point of entrepreneurship is to deliver value.
During my interview with Marshall, he stressed that a strategic approach to marketing is best and a tactical approach fails in comparison. Marshall focuses on small businesses with small to non-existent marketing departments. His company, Moonlit Ventures, provides full service marketing or engages clients as an outsourced vendor.
Marshall stated that all marketing plans should focus on three aspects for growth:
1. Get more customers
2. Get customers buying more and more often
3. Get customers buying at higher prices
Marshall contends that business owners focused on developing life time relationships through reoccurring services can afford higher client acquisition cost.

After working under the renowned Wolfgang Puck, Lauren returned to DC to continue her work for her non-profit to help bring awareness to how proper food can heal the mind, body, and soul starting in her own community.

Lauren Von Der Pool on healthy eating, vegan and raw food:

During our discussion on Ask Lita Internet Radio, Chef Lauren Von Der Pool commented on what it means to be a vegan. She went on to answer the question, what is a raw food diet? Lauren included raw food preparation ideas and options for busy people to easily incorporate eating a raw food diet. She talked of utilizing juicy fruits, dates and preparing raw pies as a breakfast choice.

Lauren’s comments included how to incorporate a raw food diet in a small living space. She stated that all that is needed to get started preparing raw food dishes are a blender, a knife and a cutting board. Lauren talked of the power of vegan and raw foods. At the age of sixteen a major life changing event captured Lauren’s attention. It was during that time that according to Lauren, “that which was dormant became active.”

Lauren’s excitement about the benefits of eating a vegan and raw diet is the result of her personal experience and that which she witnessed through the experiences of her clients. Lauren points out the oxygenation provided by a plant based diet, along with the rejuvenating values to cellular structure as well as inner and outer beauty results of a plant based diet. Lauren strongly touts the advantages of lowering one’s carbon footprint through eating a vegan and raw food diet.

When asked, does a plant based diet provide enough protein? Lauren confidently responded that the assertion is a myth and explained that there are many protein options that can be easily found in a plant based diet including goji berries and in the benefits of spirulina.

According to Lauren, one’s life and health is worth more than eating just fat. She stated that life is important -longevity is important. “It’s a decision really,” said Lauren.

I asked Lauren, “How to get people to try vegan and a raw diet? “Just feed it to them.” she said jokingly. Simply have people try it and when they like it then she shares the health benefits with them.

Lauren suggests that people start a vegan and raw food diet with small changes: instead of white sugar use maple sugar, change the type of fat, the type of salt and the quantity used. Lauren shared that it doesn’t matter where you come from people can choose their path. “Thoughts become things, she said. Lauren concludes that things come back to you.

Chef Lauren Von Der Pool works with First Lady Michelle Obama’s health initiative by demonstrating raw and vegan food preparation skills to youth. Lauren offers catering services as a personal chef, for small groups and supports very large events by utilizing her relationship with Wolfgang Puck and Le Cordon Bleu students.
